RI-600 applies Non-Dispersive Infrared Ray Absorption (NDIR) technology to detect CO2. The infrared beam emitted from the light source passes through the gas cell and reaches the IR sensor. When CO2 enters the gas cell, the amount of infrared energy received by the IR sensor decreases since the infrared energy emitted from the IR source is absorbed by the CO2. This decreased energy is detected by the IR sensor and is displayed as a gas concentration. An optical band pass filter in front of the IR sensor passes the CO2’s absorption wave length.

The newly developed dual-sensor configuration reduces size by approximately 30% compared to previous models. Light weight (about 100g) means it won’t interfere with your work.

The GX-Force is RKI’s smallest personal 1-4 gas monitor with a strong internal sample pump capable of a 100’ sampling range. Weighing only 9.8 ounces, the GX-Force can monitor the standard confined space gases (LEL combustibles, Oxygen, Carbon Monoxide, and Hydrogen Sulfide). Utilizing the same micro-sensor technology, which are compatible with the GX-3R, GX-3R Pro, 04 Series, and Gaswatch 3 instruments.
